Daily Rosary

We welcome all to join us after each 9:00 AM Daily Mass to pray the rosary. We especially need prayer during these troubling times!

Alleluia, Alleluia! Jesus Christ is Risen Today!!

As such as Jesus suffered during that first Holy Week, which we have been commemorating throughout the season of Lent at our weekly “Stations of the Cross,” we should understand that Jesus felt great joy at each moment. While His disciples, the Apostles and those who were journeying with him as his closest followers were devastated at His arrest and His Crucifixion, He knew what no one else could: That Easter Sunday and His Resurrection would be the gift of salvation for all humanity.

We know the litany of those holy women and men from the Old Testament – Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob, Leah, Rachel, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Ruth, David, Solomon and all the prophets – each who were revered by the ancient Israelites and who were waiting for the gates of heaven to be opened to them! Imagine the joy Jesus felt as He “… descended into Gehena …” to invite all those who had gone before Him in faith to enter the perfection of everlasting love and life!

Imagine the shared joy when Jesus revealed Himself to Mary Magdalen on that Easter morning in the garden simply by speaking her name: “Mary!” More than imagining this joy found by others, make that joy your own; Jesus died and rose to new life so that each of us would inherit the promise of eternal life. He speaks our name, too!

Easter cannot be a finish line for Lent, but a launching point in our lives of faith. Easter cannot remain the “first day of the week” two thousand years ago; we make it a reality every day in our lives. Together, we give thanks to God for His perfect and unfailing love, which is the foundation of our life and our joy. He is risen, and we are invited to live as His chosen and beloved people.

I hope that your pilgrimage through Lent stirred up a passion for Jesus, and a deeper understanding of His desire to reconcile every person to His Father, so that each of us experience the depth of authentic joy.

Alleluia! He is Risen!

Respect Life Homily

Deacon Tom Kolon shared a wonderful and informative Catholic perspective on Respect Life, encompassing current events and statistics that spanned from end of life through the very beginning in the womb. Our Promise to Protect

The Diocese of Trenton is committed to the initiatives outlined in the U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People in regard to the reporting and investigation of sexual abuse allegations involving minors.  The Diocese has in place a Victim’s Assistance Coordinator, who is available to obtain support for your needs and help you make a formal complaint of abuse.

If you have been sexually abused as a minor by a member of the clergy or anyone representing the Catholic Church, or if you know someone who was, you can report that abuse through the diocesan Abuse Hotline: 1-888-296-2965 or via email at abuseline@dioceseoftrenton.org.

The Diocese encourages anyone with an allegation to also report that abuse to their local law enforcement agency.  The Diocese reports all allegations received to the appropriate county prosecutor’s office.
