Current Athletic Director:  John Hudspeth

Our Lady of Good Counsel has a very successful girls' basketball team.  The key to the success of these teams is introducing the girls to basketball at a young age.  OLGC has an intramural basketball program that begins in grade four.  The girls have the option of trying out for the Junior Varsity team in fifth grade or remaining in the intramural program.  Intramurals are played on Saturdays from 8AM to 1PM during January and February.  The intramural program is directed by Brian Darreff and Terry Vogt.

The Junior Varsity team practices two nights a week.  The junior varsity is presently coached by Mr. John Hudspeth, who will move up to Varsity coach for the 2007-2008 season.  He is assisted by Dr. William Furey, who will become JV Head Coach next year.    The team plays home games at Camden Catholic High School on Sunday afternoons.

The Varsity team is very competitive and has won numerous championships over the years.  OLGC has produced players who have gone on to play for Division I college programs.  The OLGC Varsity team practices every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:30 from November to March and plays home games at Camden Catholic on Sunday afternoon.  The Varsity team is presently coached by Mr. Frank Ochman and Mr. Rich Angelo.

All players in the Athletic department must strive for athletic and academic excellence.  In order to represent OLGC in athletics a student must be of  good character and in high academic standing
