Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choirs of Our Lady’s School are open to all students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Rehearsals for these choirs are held during the school day.  The handbells provide music in all of the school liturgies throughout the year.  There are also opportunities for the 7th and 8th graders to earn service hours through this ministry by playing at selected weekend masses.  The Handbell Choirs were featured during the Christmas season of 2006 in a special evening of Lessons and Carols in the main church and have also played at the 8th Grade Graduation Masses.  No prior experience is needed, and students are taught to read music as they learn to ring.  This is an opportunity for students to learn to play the bells together as a group and add beautiful music to our worship.  It’s fun, too!
