Fr. Jim on the radio!

When Fr. Jim O'Neill arrived at Our Lady of Good Counsel parish, he met the Manfredonia family and asked if they knew Jim Manfredonia. They did - he's their brother and uncle. Starting last September, Jim started a new Catholic radio station in Ewing, WFJS 1260 AM. On Monday, January 12th, he interviewed Fr. Jim O'Neill about his vocation. To listen to the archived show, go to WFJS's website at http://www.wfjs.org/come_to_me_program.htm.

Pope Paul VI published Humanae Vitae (On Human Life) forty years ago on 25 July 1968.  He wrote about the regulation of birth and called for a deeper reflection upon who we are as human beings.  You can read Humanae Vitae at the following webpages:  New Advent, EWTN, Papal Encyclicals Online, or The Vatican.

Fr. Jim O'Neill shares his thoughts on Pope Paul VI's encyclical in an article in the parish edition of The Monitor and his M.A. thesis in moral theology:

Theology of the Body
Pope John Paul II answered Pope Paul VI's call for a deeper reflection upon the human person with The Theology of the Body, 129 Wednesday catecheses from September 1979 to November 1984.  In TOB, the pope considers anew the relationship between man and woman and the truth that sets us free to love.  Below are links to TOB and websites about TOB.

"Let yourself be summoned by the love of Christ,
His voice which rings in the temple of your heart.
Have no fear of the fact that the response He requires is radical,
