Market Day

Market Day is a unique fundraiser held on a monthly basis offering a wide selection of over 180 high quality foods at competitive prices, many of which are not available in your grocery store. Market Day products range from butcher shop meats and poultry to easy family meals, delicious appetizers and gourmet desserts. Many of the items are not only great tasting but also low in fat and calories for healthy eating.

OLGC offers Market Day not only to raise much-needed funds, but also as a service to our families, since customers love the quality and convenience of the food, and come to rely on Market Day as a grocery purchase every month.

Ordering is easy.  Families receive a menu each month.  The preferred way of ordering is on-line at marketday.com.  Otherwise, customers fill out the sheet and turn it in through school.  On the day of the sale, volunteers arrive around 1pm to unload the truck, inventory the items and pack the orders so when the customer arrives, between 2-4 pm, they pick up their food and go.  Once the volunteers have everything packed, they are free to go, but most stay to chat until the bell rings at 3pm.  Kathleen Jillions and Donna Furey, chairpersons, are present the day of the sale until 4 pm and can be reached at any time throughout the month by phone or email.  Kathleen kmjillions@comcast.net

The food is quite good - we have families who no longer have children in the school that still order!  That says a lot.
