Noah's ark ministry
Passengers have disembarked, and the crew has been given shore leave for this year's Journey of Faith. We thank the crew, 60 strong, for sharing their love and faith with our parish children. Congratulations to our High School Seniors, and our Kindergarten graduates - as they move on to new seas in life!
Look for "Sign Up Sunday" in September!
Noah’s Ark is a Childcare and Church Readiness Program for parish toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten-aged children, where faith and fun are celebrated.
The goals of Noah’s Ark are to build community and to introduce church readiness skills in a fun, interactive, and age-appropriate matter. The children are led in various activities throughout the session, which includes free play, prayer, discussions, games, ritual, scripture, music, and craft.
This ministry is staffed by well-trained volunteers who include high school students, confirmation candidates, and adult parishioners. All adult volunteers adhere to parish / diocesan policy regarding background checks and Safe Environment Programs. The director is AED/CPR certified.
Noah’s Ark is available weekly during the 10:30am Mass from October through May, and meets in Good Counsel Primary. Two “Decks” are available, so age-appropriate lessons are given to meet the developmental needs of the children. There is no fee for this program, and parishioners may have their children attend as often as is convenient for them.
For more information, or to join the crew, or register a passenger, please contact Miss Laura, the “Captain”.
