LaSalle University: Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program

LaSalle University offers a program of education and formation for the laity at the campus of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. Courses include:

  • The Bible
  • Foundations of Christian Faith
  • Christology
  • Church and Ministry
  • Liturgy and Sacraments
  • Principles of Moral Theology

La Salle University Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program

A new cycle of classes is forming for the Certificate in Pastoral Ministry Program, which will meet on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 to 9:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Moorestown, beginning in September, 2011. The certificate program seeks: to foster a greater knowledge and deeper appreciation of the Catholic Church, its theological traditions, admits mission in the contemporary world. In addition, the program provides a practical and supervised training in a wide variety of ministerial skills for service in lay ministries of catechetics, marriage preparation, visiting the sick and homebound, liturgical planning, parish leadership, and similar ministries. The program also seeks to foster the development of leader in parish based ministries for the enrichment of the Church. Participants must have the endorsement of their pastor and submit a letter of intent describing their educational and ministerial goals.
