The pastoral care of the sick involves several aspects:
An emergency
Sometimes a person is suddenly faced with a crisis of life or death. At such a time, the parish priest should be called immediately (Parish Office 856-235-0181; if the office is closed, press 9 to leave a message on a beeper for a priest). The direct phone number for a sick call emergency is 856-425-0181.
Hospitalization
Generally, the Catholic chaplain of a hospital provides pastoral care for the patients. Parishioners should tell the Parish Office if a family member is hospitalized so we may offer prayers for the sick person.
Confinement at home
Parishioners confined to their homes due to advanced age, physical disability, or chronic illness may request Communion be brought to them regularly by calling the Parish Office.
Residence in a Care Facility
Catholics who reside in long term care facilities within the parish can ask that Communion be brought to them at that facility by calling the Parish Office. On Sunday mornings, the Parish provides a bus for any residents able to get to church for the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
