Parish Life Activities

The Parish Life Ministry is offering some wonderful opportunities for adult learning again this year. Our focus and theme for the year will be THE BIBLE.

Parish Resource Center

Speaker Series

Our parish is one of the Resource Centers in our Diocese. Excellent speakers, books and videos are available in the library in Heritage House. Hours are 9-4pm Mon-Fri.

4/12/10 Sacraments of Initiation presented by Mr. Stephen Sharp

4/19/10 Sacraments of Healing presented by Sr. Maria Metzger

4/26/10 Sacraments of commitment presented by Mr. Stephen Sharp

Registration is required so we have enough materials.

Sessions are from 7-9pm in Heritage House.

All sessions are applicable to Level II and III Catechist Certification

GATHERING SUNDAY

Since the onset of Christianity the early Christians have gathered together in sister and brotherhood as an extended family.  We continue that tradition here at Our Lady of Good Council Parish with our monthly “Gathering Sunday”.  We ask our parishioners to “gather together”  with old friends and to welcome new friends.  Please join us on the third Sunday of every month for coffee, donuts, bagels, cakes, and fruit after the 10:30 a.m. Mass in the school cafeteria.  All are welcome to partake in this joyful ministry which we celebrate with our extended family here at Our Lady of Good Council Parish

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

Shawls continue to arrive at the parish from our busy knitters and are delivered to those who are ill, lonely or who need comfort and extra prayers. Shawls have also been given in times of celebration. Our parish ladies have been very generous and shawls have gone out to other parishes, organizations and hospitals.
