Nursery

          Wow, April just seemed to fly by!  Although it went quickly, we had a very busy month.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  In religion we learned about our Families, Friends, Fish, Water, and Air.  We also did a variety of projects this month such as making cherry trees for spring. We learned some new spring songs and were able to read a lot of new stories!  We were also able to spend a lot of time outside in the beautiful weather.  Thank you to the Room Moms for all your help with our Easter Party and Egg Hunt.  The children really enjoyed themselves and it was a great day!

          In May we are looking forward to a lot of exciting things!  This month we will focus on name recognition.  Not only recognizing our names, but also the letters in our names.  I ask that all parents work with your children at home with name and letter recognition. We will also be looking at the world around us and the things that are happening in spring, such as the flowers blooming and the trees budding.  With summer quickly approaching we will start thinking about the beach and the animals that live in the ocean.  We will spend some time talking about those creatures in class, and working on related art projects!  In religion we will be learning about Birds, Light, Flowers, Trees, and Sand.  We will also spend some time reviewing our colors and shapes.  Also this month, we will be praying to Mary, outside around Her statue, at the beginning of each class.  All parents are welcome to join us in prayer and celebrate Mary this month.  We will also be working on a very special project, but shh, it is a secret!  With the school year winding down we are all looking forward to our class trip to the Adventure Aquarium!  We hope to see you all there!  Mrs. Tamez and I would like to wish all our Moms a very Happy Mother’s Day!  We hope that you are able to relax and enjoy your day!!
