Pre-K

          Spring is in the air and summer is not far behind!  April was a great month!!    We continued working on the alphabet and learned about letters V, W, X, Y, and Z.  We also began working on our third unit in Getting Ready to Read with Mother Goose.  We worked on a variety of spring projects and spent time outside in the beautiful weather!  In religion we learned about Light, Air and Family.  We had a very special prayer service and we were very grateful so many families could join us in celebration.  The children also learned some new spring songs and we were able to read many new stories.  Thank you to the Room Moms for all your help with our Easter Party and Egg Hunt.  The children really enjoyed themselves and it was a great day!

          Now with May here we have a busy month ahead of us!!  We will continue working on our number books, picking up with the number 6, and we will work up to number 10.  We will be doing a variety of projects that will center on counting, sorting, and graphing.  We will also finish the third unit in Getting Ready to Read with Mother Goose and start working on the fourth unit.  In religion we will be talking about Friends, and all the things that go along with loving one another such as, helping and sharing.  Also this month, we will be praying to Mary, outside around Her statue, at the beginning of each class.  We will be talking about Mary in class and why she is so important.  All of our parents are invited to join us in prayer and celebrate Mary this month.  We will also be working on a special project, but shh, it is a secret!  With the school year winding down we are all looking forward to our class trip to the Adventure Aquarium!  We hope to see you all there!  Mrs. Tamez and I would like to wish all our Moms a very Happy Mother’s Day!  We hope that you are able to relax and enjoy your day!!
