Legislative Liaison

The Legislative Liaison keeps all OLGC families and PTA members informed of state Legislative Action Alerts that may impact our school or diocese. Parents and families may be asked to sign petitions, or write or email legislators requesting action on specific issues or state legislation. This chairperson collects emails and contact information so if a relevant legislative issue surfaces, we can rally quick support of our position. This chairperson also attends legislative dialogue events as announced by the New Jersey Network of Catholic School Families.  Contact Michelle Molz molz@comcast.net (856) 630-7294 (cell).

Market Day

Market Day is a unique fundraiser held on a monthly basis offering a wide selection of over 180 high quality foods at competitive prices, many of which are not available in your grocery store. Market Day products range from butcher shop meats and poultry to easy family meals, delicious appetizers and gourmet desserts. OLGC offers Market Day not only to raise much-needed funds, but also as a service to our families.  The preferred way of ordering is on-line at http://www.marketday.com Otherwise, customers fill out the menu received through school and return it to school.  On the day of the sale, volunteers arrive around 2 pm to unload the truck, inventory the items and pack the orders so when the customer arrives, between 3-4 pm, they pick up their food and go.  Eileen Brown and Carol Tanzola, co-chairpersons, are present the day of the sale until 4 pm and can be reached at any time by phone or email, Carol gtanzola@verizon.net  or Eileen emchugh@comcast.net (856) 234-4615

Newsletter

The primary purpose as Newsletter Chairperson is to provide the school with positive publicity through pictures and articles in the Counsel Courier, which is published approximately four times a year.  She is responsible for gathering articles and pictures of specific school events through communications with the principal, teachers and other faculty members, students, and parents.  She also assists with publicizing events on the school website through constant communication with Publicity Chair and Website coordinator.  Contact Chairperson Jen Anderson (856) 912-4792 or janderson@mazzuccocpa.com .

PTA Programs

The purpose of PTA Programs is to provide speakers on a variety of topics to teachers and parents during the PTA meetings and as requested by the Principal or the PTA President.  The chairperson is also required to design and submit for distribution all flyers announcing all PTA meetings.  Another responsibility is to organize the short story and poetry contest, including announcing the contest, collecting and organizing all entries, distributing them to the judges, preparing certificates and ribbons, and announcing the winners at the awards assembly.  Please contact Heather Crisci with any questions or concerns.

Publicity Committee

The OLGC PTA Publicity Committee publicizes school and PTA events by supplying photos and articles to the Counsel Courier, The Monitor and area newspapers.  Our purpose is to provide the school with positive publicity, to aid recruitment by allowing our message to be heard by the public, to advertise fund-raising events so attendance and donations are increased, and to do so at no cost to the school or PTA.  Contact Chairperson Sharon Rainer rainer3@verizon.net or (c) 609 304-9603 .
