Scouts

Good Counsel has its own scouting troops that mirror the basic scouting principles to: respect oneself, one another and the community. Students take part in creative projects, outside adventures, community projects and a lot of fun that enhances their appreciation for themselves and the world around them.
Scoutmasters are dedicated Good Counsel parents who demonstrate strong leadership skills. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this activity, parents are always needed to support troop leaders.

Daisies - For Kindergarten Girls-This is an introductory group your daughter can join to begin learning about the wonderful world of girl scouting. It's fun and helps the girls make new friends at the school. Look for more information about the Daisy Troop in the brown envelope through school.

Brownies - Girls in first grade through third grade meet twice a month. Brownies do numerous arts and crafts activities, many community projects and even get to go camping!

Girl Scout Juniors - Girls in 4th grade through 8th grade also usually meet two times a month. They center their activities on more community service projects. They enjoy crafts and camping as well.

Tiger and Boy Scouts- Boys from first grade through 6th grade have the opportunity to join Boy Scouting.

Information about all the scouting groups should be sent home through the brown envelope during the first month of school. You can also click below to visit our parish scouting web pages.
