True Love Waits Program

The True Love Waits Program will be offered to seventh grade students during the spring.

• Parent Meeting: Friday, September 7, 2007 - 7PM, Main Church
• Student Sessions: Tuesdays, 7PM-8PM; April 29, May 6, 13, and 20, 2008, Heritage House
• Closing Prayer Service: Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 8PM, Chapel

During this time, teens will receive a comprehensive view of teenage sexuality, highlighting responsibility and physical risks, which include the psychological and emotional consequences of engaging in premarital sexual activity. The presenters will include: Dr. Linda M. Dix, D.Min., Director of Religious Education; Mrs. Susan Dowiak, Youth Minister, Dr. John Bertagnolli, Dr. Sondra Bertagnolli, and Mrs. Lisa Welsh, BSN, RN. Parents are invited to the closing ritual, which will involve a pledge ceremony.

Skills and techniques to help resist the pressure A separate mailing to parents in the spring will include a registration form for your child to participate in this program.We look forward to offering this important program at Our Lady's Parish for the benefit of our students. Your cooperation and support are integral to the life issues, which challenge our young teens and the appropriate decisions they will make in life when faced with these situations.
