On Sunday, October 14, grade 7 and 8 confirmands from the Religious Education Program, OLGC School, along with members of the Parish Youth Group, traveled to the “Year of Youth Fest” in Mahahawkin. Prayer Service held in the Church, 4:15pm to 4:45pm, with Fr. Jack presiding. Students report to / are dismissed from the school building. Children are asked to bring canned food donations to class throughout the month of November for local feed families in need. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!
Teen volunteers, grade 7 and high school, are invited to assist at the various family breakfasts: Saturday, September 15 (for grade 2 families), Saturday, September 22, (for grade 7 families), and Saturday, September 29 (for grade 8 families). Please contact the RE Office to volunteer.
Annual Catechists' Planning Meetings are held on Tuesday, September 4, 7pm (catechists grades 1-6) and Wednesday, September 5, 7pm (catechists grades 7-8) and Thursday, September 6 (catechists for Children's Initiation). Dr. Dix leads with theological presentation and updates to policies and procedures.
John Collins, Catechist Trainer and Consultant, Sadlier Religion Publications, returns to OLGC to present: "Engaging Parents in Faith Formation: It’s About “Building Parental Capacity” The day begins with 9:00am Mass in the Chapel, includes brunch in the cafeteria, followed by John's presentation. Thank you to the strong outpouring of teen volunteers to assist in the Summer Intensive Program! We are fully registered with teen helpers!! All who have registered have been assigned to classrooms, and details have been mailed to parents. Any additional volunteers are invited to assist at the August 1st Catechists Workshop.
Catechists teaching in the Summer Intensive Program come together to review details and particulars of this year's program. Sessions led by Dr. Dix and are held at 1pm and 7pm. Summer Catechists are asked to RSVP to the RE Office with time they are attending.
Due to our strong registration, we are seeking a grade 1 lead teacher and and second and fifth grade assistant for the summer intensive program.

Fall and Home Study Program: Early Registration: Monday through Friday, April 30 to May 4, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Forms are available on the Registration Page and in Heritage House . $25 discount per family. Registration continues throughout the summer. The Summer Intensive Program is fully registered.
Registration for Religious Education Summer, Fall and Home Study classes is held Sunday, April 29,– (new times) – following the 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, and 12:00 noon masses in Heritage House. Forms will be available in the Heritage House, and on the website, once registration has begun.
The "I'm Sorry Celebration" for Grade 2 class has been rescheduled to Tuesday, April 10, beginning 4:10pm in the Chapel. This is rescheduled for the snow closing on March 27. Parents have been notified of the new date. Parents and special people are invited! Children report to Gathering Time at 4pm.
Lent: Parish Style! Pizza and Stations with the Pastor, Friday, February 16, 6:30pm, Cafeteria. Come with your family and friends and explore the meaning of Lent and celebrate Stations of the Cross with Father Damian. On Sunday, January 28, Noah’s Ark will set sail during the 9:00am Mass, instead of our usual 10:30am sailing. OLGC Primary is hosting an Open House, beginning at 11:00am. Father Damian has extended a personal invitation for Noah’s Ark families to attend.
