Sacristan, Lector, Usher

volunteer today!

Lectors: We train parishioners to proclaim the Scripture readings and make announcements at Mass. Anyone in Eucharistic Communion with the Church may volunteer for this ministry. Orientation is easy, requiring only an hour and a clear and concise handbook is provided. Once you complete training, you will be scheduled for a weekend liturgy of your choice.  To arrange for training, please contact the Parish Office.

Ushers: They are needed at all Masses to help seat parishioners, distribute bulletins and assist with the collection of gifts. To volunteer, please contact Deacon Ed Heffernan, 856-905-5019 or email deaconheffernan@comcast.net.

Sacristans: Sacristans prepare the worship space and everything used in our Parish liturgies. They open and close the Church and organize the sacristy for each assigned Mass. Preparing the gifts of bread and wine, assisting the priest and deacon to ready for Mass, and verifying that all readers, altar servers, and ministers of Communion are present are the sacristan’s responsibility. Sacristans also remain in the sacristy during Mass in case of emergency.
