Availability / Preference Form

Extraordinary Ministers Of Holy Communion are men and women of the parish mandated by the Bishop to assist the ordained ministers in distributing Holy Communion either to the congregation at church or to those individuals unable to attend services due to health issues.

To volunteer, please contact the Parish office at 856-235-0181.

SPREAD YOUR LOVE

Have you a little extra love to share with parishioners of OLGC who are in nursing homes or homebound? We are once again asking for volunteers to take just two hours or less once a month to bring communion to parishioners who cannot attend Mass with us.

We currently need new volunteers to join our ministry. A number of our volunteers have moved or have retired and that is leaving us with a great shortage of help. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion have been doubling their assignments this summer to help with the shortage.

We would love to have you shadow one of our current ministers to see exactly what your duties would be and the blessings they receive.  Hands-on training will be given and you will be perfectly comfortable before you begin your assignment. All that is required is that you are over 18, Confirmed and if married, married in the Catholic Church. Couples are encouraged to minister together. Young adults are a blessing as your youth and energy is enjoyed by those you will be serving.

Please pray and consider if this ministry is calling you. If you would like further information or to volunteer please contact Jane McCorkell at 856-234-2374 or jmccorkell@olgcnj.org
