Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish sponsors mission trips annually to Kingston Jamaica to work with the poorest of the poor in apostolates of the Missionaries of the Poor founded by Father Richard Ho Lung. Parishioners also pray communally for the intentions of the Brothers and the success of their missions around the world.
The parish also twins with Saint Francis Primary School, owned by subsidized by the the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany. The children Skype, exchange projects, and write letters to one another throughout the year. The twinning endeavor also won the United Nations CTAUN Best Practices Award for "Weaving Our Lives Together in the Spirit of Inter-dependence."
