Thank you for visiting our website; we hope you also visit our church!

Membership in a local parish connects people with their Roman Catholic faith. At our liturgies, so often we meet with like-minded people who pray and share our faith together.

Our parish has a long history, going back almost 200 years to 1832 when Irish immigrants built a chapel on their farm dedicated to "Our Lady and Saint Patrick," and served by traveling priests on horseback from the Philadelphia Archdiocese.

Our Vision:

Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (OLGC) serves women and men of faith from our location in Moorestown, Burlington County, New Jersey.  OLGC functions as a prayerful community for people of all ages who are falling in love with God and God's people.  As a joy-filled Roman Catholic community, our calling is to welcome all to our parish and share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.  We nurture spiritual growth within our Catholic parish, ministering to those seeking to be welcomed, and desiring engagement and connections with others seeking the Lord, while challenging all parishioners to spiritual growth. This Vision is fulfilled through the work of our clergy, staff and volunteers, within the liturgies, sacramental life, and the education offered to adults, to children enrolled in our parish school, and to children enrolled in our Religious Education programs, mindful of our connection to the Diocese of Trenton, and the teaching and doctrine of the global Roman Catholic Church.

Canon Law governs Roman Catholic parishes, generally along territorial lines.  For a more detailed explanation of the relevant canons, please read this article by Fr. Jim, our pastor, Parish Registration and Residence, concerning registration of those who live outside our parish boundaries.
