Requirements for volunteers of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish:
- Be a practicing Catholic, attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days, and hold to the basic doctrine of the Catholic faith
- If married, married within the Church
- Complete Background Check Requirements (Selection/IdentoGo)
- Participate in Virtus Training Session (Child protection / safe environment)
Background Check Requirements
As part of the Diocesan Safe Environment Program, staff and volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and complete Virtus (Safe Environment/Child Protection) training. Adult volunteers wear a Parish and Diocesan ID Badges when they are ministering to children in a parish activity.
