Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are men and women of the parish, mandated by the Bishop, who assist the ordained ministers in distributing Holy Communion at Mass and to those who are unable to attend due to health or mobility issues.

To volunteer for weekend liturgies, please contact the Parish Office at 856-235-0181.

Ministry to the Homebound & Nursing Homes

Spread Your Love
Have you a little extra love to share with parishioners of OLGC who are homebound or in nursing homes? We are seeking volunteers who can give two hours or less once a month to bring Holy Communion and a caring presence to those who cannot join us at Mass.

Many of our volunteers have moved or retired, and we are in great need of new ministers. Training is provided, and you will have the opportunity to shadow a current minister so you feel fully comfortable before beginning your own visits.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Confirmed Catholic
  • If married, married in the Catholic Church
Couples are encouraged to minister together, and young adults are especially welcome—your presence is a blessing to those you will serve.

Please pray and consider whether you are being called to this ministry.
